Editor's Review of Gourmet Gift Baskets

Sympathy Baskets are probably the best way to offer support to someone who has just lost a loved one. Not only do sympathy baskets show you care and provide needed nourishment during a very difficult time, sympathy baskets also provide snacks and food for mourners who may be stopping by to pay their respects.

The last thing a grieving person wants to do is prepare a meal or get drinks for people who stop by. Get them a sympathy basket filled with goodies and coffees, or a fruit basket. Sympathy baskets can be filled with anything from full meals to snacks to wine and beer.

Gourmet Gift Baskets have a huge selection of baskets in every price range so you can find exactly what you want. If you don’t find what you’re looking for in the Sympathy Basket section, keep looking. They have so many choices that you are sure to find the perfect gift.

When choosing your sympathy basket, keep your recipient in mind. Is that person a coffee or tea drinker? Do they have kids who might appreciate a cookie basket? Should you send a Kosher basket or a fruit basket? The sympathy baskets from Gourmet Gift Baskets offer all these choices and more. It’s my favorite place to order baskets from.

Overall

Gourmet Gift Baskets is an excellent alternative to the tired old tuna casserole that people send to the family of the deceased. They have a huge selection of sympathy baskets, fruit baskets, food baskets as well as spa, stemware and even pet gift baskets. Their shopping cart and check out process is easy to use, nothing confusing or unclear, it’s all very straightforward. Gourmet Gift Baskets is one of the best places online to order sympathy baskets.

No cooking for two weeks
By Allyson January 1, 2010

"I just lost my husband over the holidays and a dear friend sent us the Ultimate New England Brunch Gift Basket. At first I was overwhelmed with the size and products in the basket, but my two boys dug right in and had a delicious breakfast. It was the first time I saw them smile since their dad died and it saved me the trouble of having to get up early after another sleepless night to cook breakfast for the boys. The basket was huge and lasted for almost two weeks. This is the first time I’ve received a sympathy basket like this and I must say I appreciated it so much."

Everything was Delicious!
By Edwin on December 28, 2009

"The basket was delivered Christmas Eve morning and I’m told everything was delicious. Next time, I’ll order one as a gift and one for myself."

Mistake corrected
By Jacqueline on December 16, 2009

"I ordered a Christmas gift basket for my coworkers but when it arrived it was not the right one. I called Gourmet Gift Baskets and told them about their error and they sent the correct one the same day. When the FedEx guy delivered the right one, he took the wrong one back. It all worked so smoothly."

At the Hospital
By Orrin on December 8, 2009

"My neighbor’s little girl was in the hospital for several months and my neighbors were spending so much time at the hospital, I decided to send a fruit basket to offer my sympathy. A few days after they received it, they told me how helpful it was to have some nutritious food to eat while staying with their daughter for hours at the hospital everyday. They couldn’t thank me enough. I will definitely send sympathy fruit baskets again because I know now how much they are appreciated."
